“That is some next level thinking”

The man in the middle is wearing a light blue t-shirt and jeans. The man on the right is wearing black athletic wear, including shorts with 'Team Full Rom' written on them, gray Crocs, and white socks, and is pointing to the man in the middle.

“I am ecstatic to have met Nick. I have never considered myself athletic but Nick has given me the confidence to continue to get stronger. He by no means is a magic fix, though I try to convince him to be. When I started with him I needed help getting out of a chair. Now I can do that and much more. I see leg muscles I never thought I had! He has been essential in my support and adapting to my injuries. He is consistently vigilant in making sure I am safe while I workout. I immensely look forward to our sessions”

Derek Osterman, 40

“Nick is a great personal trainer and coach. We have been working together for a couple of years and the results have been fantastic. He is excellent about pushing me toward my goals and keeps every workout high energy. He has great focus on technique and shares the science behind planned workouts. I’ve sped past others at the gym in pursuit of my goals thanks to his targeted approach to training. For anyone looking for a personal trainer that loves what he does and delivers results, Nick is a great choice.”

Who and what is TBA… The Mission

Tough Body Athletic is a personal training studio based in Canton MA and also provides in home training to anyone in Norfolk county.

TBA is currently just myself, Nick Whitehouse-Rogers, though I will be collaborating with others to be bring in new perspectives and areas of expertise.

My current goal is simple. I deal with the science because I really enjoy it and we work together to find something that fits YOUR life. Then we both work hard and you see results that match your efforts.

Long term the goal is to develop the systems and equipment I believe will progress great training in an ecological way. Doing this through applied science and anecdotal experience. I want my standard and the minimum standard of training to both continue to improve.

Fitness can be more confusing than necessary because so many people have decided fitness is an easy place to make money. It’s because they look in shape but have not done the intellectual work necessary to be an effective educator or communicator. This creates a bunch of contrarians just trying to stand out. I personally find this frustrating. Nothing is more expensive than paying for something that provides no value more than simply placebo or worse, gets you injured and/or wastes your time.

So many businesses make all these claims! Here we make it happen and figure out a way to make it fit into YOUR life.

Why Choose TBA?

I actually enjoy exercise physiology and getting into the details. This helps you because it provides certainty of efficacy. Being fit is important but 99% of personal trainers have that down. Maybe about 5% actually sit down and learn.

Get back to doing those things in life you miss out on. From when you were younger or simply before the covid lockdowns in 2020. Have fun in the process too. LONG TERM success needs to be fun sometimes so you can do it month after month after month.

Providing optimism and setting realistic goals. Every corner of the internet and social media tries to hook you with dramatics. Not here. You know what to expect and we actually get to where we agree
